Porto das Dunas beach
Porto das Dunas Beach is one of the most famous beaches with beautiful natural landscape in the municipality Akiras , in the state of Ceara . This place is located 16 km from Fortaleza, you can get to the coast by rented car, taxi or bus. But this beach became famous not because of the beautiful views, but thanks to the largest water park in South America, which is located directly on the shores of the endlessly blue Atlantic Ocean.

Porto vas Dunas has approximately 6 kilometers of wonderful beach zone, is covered with large white sand dunes. The beach is situated between Kofeko Beach crossed by the river flowing into the ocean, and a fishermans village called Praina, mostly inhabited by fishermen. As for the most Brazilian beaches, Porto das Dunas is characterized by shallow water, and moderately strong waves provide conditions for surfing.
The beach is popular both among kids and adults. beside the fascinating local aqua park with excellent mountains and incredible waterfalls, wonderful entertaining events and music concerts are held on the beach rather often. Especially for its young visitors, Porto das Dunas is equipped with the 500-m children's playground with over 10 water rides, several swimming pools, and sportive complexes.
When is the best time to go?
The best time to visit Brazil – is in spring and autumn. During this period, mild and dry weather reigns here. In winter, there is heat and heavy rains. And in the summer (from June to August) the lowest temperatures are recorded in the country.
