Aquamarine is a Sevastopol beach, located west of the central part of the city, between the bays “Kruglaya” and “Streletskaya”. It belongs to the same name hotel, however, the access to it is open for everyone. Its area exceeds 2 hectares, and the length is approximately 200 m. This place has the following advantages:
- transparent sea - local bottom is covered by pebble, which prevents muddy waters;
- vast shore (up to 30 meters) and large amount of space for relaxation on a towel or deck chair;
- small waves, absence of underground currents, and mostly sunny weather;
- beautiful landscapes - from the shore you can see the entire shore, tourist liners, high-rise buildings of the city and the endless sea.

The beach surface is covered by soft sand, but by the entry to the water and on the bottom it is pebble. The entry to the sea is smooth, the depth begins 20 meters from the shore. There is absence of trees at all, instead, numerous umbrellas cast a shadow.

When is the best time to go?
Weather conditions in Crimea depend on the place where you will rest: while on the south coast it is relatively warm and humid, then in other places it can be cooler and drier. The period between late May and the first half of July inclusive is considered the ideal time for a trip when the air and sea have already warmed up (23-25 degrees), but the real heat has not yet come. If you prefer warmer weather, pick out the second half of July or early August.

6 km east of the beach there is the archaeological museum of Chersonesus - an ancient Greek city, the center of Byzantine possessions in Crimea. During its best days, its population exceeded 20 thousand people. There was a theater for 3 thousand people, several dozens of temples, cobbled streets and a complex sewer system in the city. The Hellenes also erected huge stone walls that defended Chersonesus for 2 millennia.
Antique columns, fragments of defense structures, foundations of temples, houses and administrative buildings have survived to our days. The territory of the archeological museum exceeds 418 hectares, and its funds include more than 200 thousand exhibits. You shoulld visit this place to get acquainted with ancient culture and touch the buildings that remember the commanders of Octavian Augustus and the campaigns of Vladimir the Great.

- Monument to the sunked ships - a monument in honor of the Russian ships that defended the city from the enemy fleet during the Crimean War;
- Museum complex “Mikhailovskaya Battery” is a large-scale fortifications of the 19th century;
