Tsar Beach

Tsar beach is the pearl of the Crimea and is called so for a reason. The fact is that at the beginning of the 20th century it was in this place that the imperial family of Nicholas II rested, after which the coast was called Tsar. The beach is located in Novyi Svet in the southeast part of the peninsula in the picturesque Black Sea bay called Green. You can get to the beach by foot along the Golitsyn trail or on a motor boat from Sudak, as well as the Novyi Svet.

Beach description

Tsar Beach is a conservation area, so it is not surrounded by developed infrastructure, but by the magnificent natural landscapes of Crimea: high rocky mountains, groves of fragrant juniper and breathtaking views of the endless Black Sea. The length of the beach is approximately 100 m, and the width does not exceed 10 m. The coast is covered with yellow sand, reminiscent of sugar in structure. The water on the Royal Beach is crystal clear with an incredible turquoise hue. The entry into the sea is long, gentle and shallow, but large stones can be found at the bottom, sometimes even visible from the water.

Despite the fact that Tsar beach is quite remote from the settlements, it is not desert, it is loved by both locals and tourists. People visit this place not only to swim and sunbathe, but also to do snorkeling: multi-colored schools of fish swim even near the shore.

When is the best time to go?

Weather conditions in Crimea depend on the place where you will rest: while on the south coast it is relatively warm and humid, then in other places it can be cooler and drier. The period between late May and the first half of July inclusive is considered the ideal time for a trip when the air and sea have already warmed up (23-25 degrees), but the real heat has not yet come. If you prefer warmer weather, pick out the second half of July or early August.
