Primorski beach

Central, it is also the Primorski beach of Yalta, located in the heart of the resort the capital of Crimea. It is divided into several conventional zones and stretches along the city promenade and Primorski park. To get to the Primorski beach is not difficult, from the city center and Lenin Square to it just a stone's throw. It is better to leave the car away from the embankment - at the height of the season, access to it is difficult and traffic jams and congestion often occur on narrow streets.

Beach description

In 2018, a large-scale reconstruction of the beach and the surrounding area began, which should be completed in 2020 . During this time, it is planned to expand the coastline, and connect the upper part of the beach with the promenade, thus creating a single walking zone. Instead of obsolete cafes and restaurants, a modern complex will be built, which will house catering points, recreation areas and sports grounds. At the same time, the closest attention will be paid to the improvement of the park, which was laid down in 1948 and is one of Yalta's business cards.

The first section of Primorski Beach is located opposite the New Martyrs Chapel, it is very tiny and always full of people. The coast is covered with medium-sized pebbles, it is difficult to call the sea clean due to the proximity of the port. On the beach there is a toilet, changing cabins and several benches along the concrete parapet. It is suitable for those who want to quickly refresh themselves in the sea, for true lovers of beach holidays it is better to look for another place.

The next zone of the Primorski beach begins behind the legendary Espanyola, the symbol of Yalta, which now houses the restaurant "Orange". The pebble coastline stretches for 800 meters and rests on the beach of the Hotel "Oreanda", which is accessible only to visitors to the hotel complex.

Behind it begins the third section of the Central Beach, which is located parallel to the Primorski Park. Access to it is partially blocked due to private hotels and expensive restaurants, perhaps after the reconstruction the situation will change. The most attractive beach in this area is the beach of the Hotel "Opera Prima". Admission is free, but you will have to pay for amenities.

When is the best time to go?

Weather conditions in Crimea depend on the place where you will rest: while on the south coast it is relatively warm and humid, then in other places it can be cooler and drier. The period between late May and the first half of July inclusive is considered the ideal time for a trip when the air and sea have already warmed up (23-25 degrees), but the real heat has not yet come. If you prefer warmer weather, pick out the second half of July or early August.

Useful information

Parallel to the Primorski beach is the Lenin embankment - the main promenade of Yalta, surrounded by roads and shops, luxurious restaurants and prestigious hotels. This is the oldest city street that Chekhov, Pushkin, Yesenin, Mayakovsky, Bulgakov and other legendary personalities walked at one time, and even now you can meet many celebrities.

Walking along the promenade, you involuntarily plunge into the fantastic atmosphere of the holiday and the fun that street performers create. At every step, live music sounds here, street artists demonstrate their talents, and in the late afternoon you can witness spectacular fire shows and carnival performances.

In one of the tiny side streets adjacent to the Hotel "Tavrida", the lower cableway station lurks. On it you can climb the Darsan hill, from which the whole city is visible at a glance.
