Beach description
Kapsel is a beach in the eastern part of Crimea, stretching for seven kilometers strip along the Black Sea coast, in a quiet and picturesque bay of the same name. This place is located 4 km from the center of Sudak between Cape Alchak and Frenchwoman. You can get to the beach by bus from the Sudak bus station to Sunny Valley or by taxi.
The coast of Kapsel is mostly strewn with large pebbles and stones, but there are also secluded sandy areas. The water on this beach is crystal clear. The sunset on Kapsel is shallow with rapidly increasing depth, literally 10-15 m from the coast it reaches more than 10 m. Waves occur on this beach in the case of strong westerly and southerly winds, the rest of the time on Kapsel there is a light sea breeze and a calm sea.
Amazing scenery around Kapsel and a beautiful view of the city of Sudak attracts the eye. The beach is surrounded by low brown hills, locals call them "red". And along the coast there are Crimean lemongrass, wormwood and capers, filling the sea air with a subtle aroma of spices.
The undoubted advantage of this beach is the presence of the so-called “paddling pools”: these are small areas in the sea, characterized by shallow water and absolutely safe sandy bottom These places are designed for children, for whom Kapsel is quite dangerous due to their deep water.
In Crimea, beaches located in resort towns are more popular. Capsel, although famous among locals and tourists alike, is never crowded. More often this place is chosen by young people to organize a tent city, and families with children to relax away from the hustle and bustle of tourists.
When is the best time to go?
Weather conditions in Crimea depend on the place where you will rest: while on the south coast it is relatively warm and humid, then in other places it can be cooler and drier. The period between late May and the first half of July inclusive is considered the ideal time for a trip when the air and sea have already warmed up (23-25 degrees), but the real heat has not yet come. Father was against marriage with a stranger and decided to drive the young man away. The man forced the guy to leave, but sailing away from the banks of his beloved, Megan was sad and decided to stay with the healer forever, turning into Cape Megan. And Kapsel, to be with her lover, turned into a sea surface, giving her name to the beach. The father made the decision of the young people and turned into a cape Alchak as a proof.
