Lyagushka beach

“Lyagushka” is one of the few Crimean beaches that have retained Soviet charm. It is famous for huge boulders, picturesque landscapes, transparent clear waters. As well as the complete absence of bars, stalls and other “gifts of civilization” that distract tourists from the magnificent nature of Crimea.

Beach description

"Lyagushka" is a small but very beautiful beach located under the "New District" of the city of Alupka. It is covered with small pebbles, on which you can move barefoot and is surrounded by huge boulders resembling rocks. This place is popular among locals due to the following advantages:

  1. clear and transparent sea with a beautiful underwater world;
  2. the small number of jellyfish and the complete absence of creatures dangerous to humans;
  3. availability of a car entrance with a parking slot;
  4. minimum number of street vendors. At the beginning and end of the tourist season, merchants are completely absent.

The main attraction of the beach is a small rock resembling a frog. It is used as a water trampolin, a viewing platform, a place for sunbathing. This coast was named after her.

About half of the vacationers are local residents. The remaining 50% are tourists from Russia and other CIS countries. "Lyagushka" is positioned as a family vacation spot due to its perfect ecology, the absence of sharp drops in depth, and weak waves. However, here you need to carefully look after the kids: there are no lifeguards on the beach.

A little tip: grab slippers or sandals onto the beach. They will protect your feet from pebbles, sharp stones and cobblestones heated from the sun.

"Lyagushka" is great for swimming, sunbathing, diving, snorkelling and hiking. The best time to visit the beach is sunrise. It can be admired directly from “Lyagushka” beach.

Interesting fact: "Lyagushka" beach is completely man-made. It was laid in imperial times during the construction of the children's orthopedic center of A. A. Bobrov. What makes it one of the oldest beaches on the southern coast of Crimea.

When is the best time to go?

Weather conditions in Crimea depend on the place where you will rest: while on the south coast it is relatively warm and humid, then in other places it can be cooler and drier. The period between late May and the first half of July inclusive is considered the ideal time for a trip when the air and sea have already warmed up (23-25 degrees), but the real heat has not yet come. If you prefer warmer weather, pick out the second half of July or early August.

  1. Free Wi-Fi in rooms and public areas;
  2. a restaurant of Russian and European cuisine is available in the complex;
  3. room service during the working day;
  4. free breakfasts.

Local hotels are famous for silence and comfort. They equip their rooms with air conditioning, minibars, modern fixtures and comfortable furniture. A little tip: Choose hotels in tall buildings. From their windows a stunning view of the green areas, the sea and other beauties of the Crimea opens.

“Lyagushka” beach itself is almost devoid of infrastructure. There are no toilets, changing rooms, showers. The only thing a tourist can count on is sunbeds (they are installed at the height of the tourist season and rented out). On the other hand, this place is ideal for unity with the magnificent nature of Crimea.

Within a radius of 500 meters from the beach there are many shops, souvenir shops and catering establishments. Also in the vicinity of “Lyagushka” there is a bus station, a supermarket, bank branches and gas stations.
