Chekhov's Gulf beach
Chekhov's Gulf, or Chekhovka, as it is named by locals, is one of the picturesque places of Gurzuf. It is very tiny and surrounded by cliffs, and looks very romantic. There Chekhov's country house is hidden, where the great writer, surrounded by his family and friends, spent the last years of his life. Now a museum is organized here, and a cozy miniature garden is preserved, in which the classic of Russian literature loved to relax.

Beach description
There is no beach in the classical conception in the gulf - the coastline is rocky and steep, and visitors are forced to sit on flat boulders in order to sunbathe. But there are many comfortable stones for diving, you can also swim in a mask with joy, watching the schools of small fish and nimble crabs. Water in the gulf is clean and clear like glass, and even warmer than on the city beaches. Therefore, despite the absence of infrastructure and rocky shore, in the gulf there are always many vacationers, especially in peak of summer season.
You can get to the beach through territory of museum by getting an entrance ticket. The museum is open from May to September, working hours - from ten in the morning until seven in the evening.
Chekhov's Gulf is located in the beginning of Gurzuf's embarkment at the foot of the cliff of Genenevez-Kai, there are numerous restaurants, bars and shops nearby, where you can eat and quench your thirst.
When is better to go?
Weather conditions in Crimea depend on the place where you will rest: while on the south coast it is relatively warm and humid, then in other places it can be cooler and drier. The period between late May and the first half of July inclusive is considered the ideal time for a trip when the air and sea have already warmed up (23-25 degrees), but the real heat has not yet come. If you prefer warmer weather, pick out the second half of July or early August.
