Lyubimovka beach

The beach in the village of Lyubimovka is good in that it has sand cover as opposed to most of the beaches of the South Coast, where pebbles prevail. In addition, this village has a very favorable location, it is located close to the sights of Sevastopol and Bakhchisaray, as well as about the same distance from the South Coast and Evpatoria.

Beach description

The beach is stretched along the line of the entire village, so places are more than enough! Its length is 3 km, and its width is up to 100 m in some places. Completely deserted sites are also met, and there are places where are mothers with kids, because there is a more comfortable entry into the sea. The water here is clean and clear, since there are no production facilities nearby, and there is active exchange between the water area and the open sea. However, during a storm it can become unclear due to the fact that there are red rocks nearby, which are washed away by waves.

Coating is sand mixed with small pebbles and shell rock. However, this mixture is a homogeneous mass, so it is almost not felt when walking. In the afternoon, the sea is calm, but in the evening, waves usually rise, the water becomes cloudy. The depth here begins abruptly, at a distance of 3-4 m from the coast, the bottom disappears under the feet. Therefore, with the kids you need to be alert. A comfortable time for swimming is from June to September, the hottest month is August.

In 2009, the St. Valentine's Lagoon with sea water was artificially created within the beach. This pond is an outdoor pool and at the same time a real beach. The maximum depth is 2 m, and in shallow water can safely swim both adults and kids.

When is the best time to go?

Weather conditions in Crimea depend on the place where you will rest: while on the south coast it is relatively warm and humid, then in other places it can be cooler and drier. The period between late May and the first half of July inclusive is considered the ideal time for a trip when the air and sea have already warmed up (23-25 degrees), but the real heat has not yet come. If you prefer warmer weather, pick out the second half of July or early August.
