Jasper Beach
On Fiolent, even throughout Crimea, one of the most comfortable and beautiful beaches . A shallow strip of the coast is covered with small pebbles with colored splashes. Previously, it was often collected here, and now vacationers sometimes find pieces of jasper, other minerals, which is why the beach got its name. The clear sea, amazing scenery, bewitching sunsets, air that cannot be breathed enough attract crowds of tourists during the summer.

Beach description
The length of the beach is about 450 m. Pebbles on the shores of different colors. Transparent water with an amazing effect: the bottom shimmers in different colors like an expensive stone. Not everyone can walk barefoot along the coast, especially when entering the sea. There are larger boulders here, you need to go with caution. Minor inconvenience is compensated by the purest waves that you will not find on the entire Black Sea coast.
The equipped part of the coast is much more convenient, but there are always a lot of people, even in the "velvet" September. Some of the vacationers retire further, under the wall of a steep cliff, although it is unsafe to do this, there is the possibility of collapses.
"Extreme" youth chose the rocks from which they jump into the water on a rope, kayaking is popular.
Naturists are hiding behind a large stone, although it is forbidden to formally take sun baths, as well as visiting the beach with animals or staying overnight. Visiting the recreation area is open from 7 am to 8 pm.
You can get to the beach from land by breaking down a serpentine of 800 steps. For some burdened with serious chronic illnesses, getting up after a day at the beach can be a problem. In some places, the staircase, once made by monks, is so narrow that you have to wait until the oncoming chain of people passes. You can rest in small areas with benches.
Those who do not want to climb upstairs on foot can take the boats off the coast, which will be delivered to Balaklava in 40 minutes.

Weather conditions in Crimea depend on the place where you will rest: while on the south coast it is relatively warm and humid, then in other places it can be cooler and drier. The period between late May and the first half of July inclusive is considered the ideal time for a trip when the air and sea have already warmed up (23-25 degrees), but the real heat has not yet come. If you prefer warmer weather, pick out the second half of July or early August.

In recent years, civilization on the Fiolent has taken leaps and bounds. The beach itself is being equipped, new outlets and services are appearing. There is a lot of housing here, as evidenced by ads posted everywhere. Those who agree to everyday descents and climbs can be nearby, choosing something in their price category: a cottage or a guest house. For 5 "stars" have to go further away.
Some time ago, guests of Fiolent were met by a “shopping center” in the form of a small shop at the intersection near the stop. Now it is not alone there. They sell everything you need: from toothbrushes to dinner products, including alcohol. Goods are a little more expensive than in Sevastopol. New, not seasonal, but capital cafes are opening. The food is tasty and relatively inexpensive. True, this place is more suitable for a day party, not for a romantic evening. It also sells souvenirs.
Closer to the final stop, "on the circle", you can buy semi-finished products or taste the soldiers' grubs in the spirit of the USSR. The dining room at the military unit feeds all the hungry.
Delicacies and luxury items should be sought at a 10-minute drive. "Fifth kilometer", the so-called universal market in Sevastopol itself. Here you can buy things, products, use the services of an ATM and so on. Public transport runs perfectly here, taxis run at night.
A kind of tour desk. The wall of a huge cistern near the St. George Monastery is stuck with advertising materials. This is just on the way to the beach. There is a live travel agent and offers a variety of excursions. The excursions, I must say, are quite at a level, they are conducted not by people from the street, but by educated people.
