Mohito beach

Mojito is the Black Sea beach of the Crimean peninsula near Sudak, which is positioned as an elite beach complex. The coast is maintained in perfect cleanliness and is constantly being improved. This beach will be an excellent choice for those who do not want to move too far from the city in search of natural beauties and developed infrastructure. Mojito is also often called the place of lovers: many lonely vacationers met their soulmate on this coast.

Beach description

Mojito is a beautiful beach at the foot of a cliff in the western part of Sudak Bay. Not so long ago, this place was called "Water World" and was a favorite refuge for nudists, but in 2013, the concept of the coast underwent dramatic changes. Mojito has transformed into one of the best beaches in Sudak with developed infrastructure for a comfortable stay. You can get to the beach by regular bus, the route of which is 300 meters from the seashore or by car.

Due to the proximity of the beach to the rocks, the coast is covered with stones, but for comfort Mojito's territory is covered with imported soft yellow sand. To prevent artificial leaching, the coast is separated from the sea by a concrete pier. Entry into the water is carried out by special stairs, like into a pool. The depth of this coast increases gradually. The bottom is covered with pebbles, but periodically there are large stones. And thanks to the underwater currents, the water on Mojito is always crystal clear with a bewitching deep bright blue tint.

The nature surrounding the quiet and authentic Mojito beach is also beautiful. The territory of this place is located under the Fortress Mountain, which literally hangs over the beach, giving it a unique and memorable landscape. The picturesque Mojito is complemented by a long pier that goes into the sea.

This beach is still little known among tourists, so there is no crowded coast of Mojito. This place is popular among young people and families with children.

But for kids up to the age of three, rest in this part of the Crimean peninsula can be uncomfortable.

When is the best time to go?

Weather conditions in Crimea depend on the place where you will rest: while on the south coast it is relatively warm and humid, then in other places it can be cooler and drier. The period between late May and the first half of July inclusive is considered the ideal time for a trip when the air and sea have already warmed up (23-25 degrees), but the real heat has not yet come. If you prefer warmer weather, pick out the second half of July or early August.

Useful information

In addition to the magnificent relaxation that Mojito can provide, next to the beach there is one of the unique surviving sights of the Crimean peninsula - the ancient Genoese fortress: it is located directly in the rocks, under which the modern beach complex. The height of this attraction is 157 m, and the age of the building is more than 500 years. Due to its easy accessibility and convenient location, this historical place has appeared more than 10 times in various films.

From the sea side, Mojito also has something to show - this is Krabi beach, often called Krabi island. Literally 70 m from the coast, stone boulders rise above the water, under which crabs live. It is in this part of the beach that diving and snorkeling are very popular. It is easy to get to this place, the depth of the strait does not exceed 1.5 m, so you can wade to Krabi beach.

Despite the fact that there is a pier on the beach, it is forbidden to jump from it because of the heterogeneity of the bottom. < / p>
