Tikhaya Gulf beach
Quiet bay is a traditional vacation place for "wild" tourists who want to "merge" with nature and forget about the benefits of civilization for a while. It is located between Ordzhonikidze and Koktebel villages and from all sides is well protected from the winds and sea currents by picturesque capes. A rocky dirt road leads to the bay, the most convenient way to get there is by private car or cutter. Planning vacation here you should take into account that there is no shadow on the shore and there is an acute shortage of firewood and fresh water. You need to pay for tent and parking, foresters, from whom you can clarify the rules for stay in the nature protection zone, monitor the order.

Beach description
Length of the beach is one and a half kilometer, the coast is covered by gentle golden sand and is washed by shallow and respectively warm sea. One of the decorations of bay is Chameleon Cape, which changes color several times a day depending on lighting. In these places soviet films were shoot, and from the back of the stone lizard, a fantastic view of Karadag, Koktebel and the nearby area opens.
There are no regular beach infrastructure facilities on the beach, so tourists need to take care of organizing their vacation on their own. The nearest shops and markets are located in Ordzhonikidze and Koktebel villages, and there are drugstores and first-aid posts as well.
When is better to go?
Weather conditions in Crimea depend on the place where you will rest: while on the south coast it is relatively warm and humid, then in other places it can be cooler and drier. The period between late May and the first half of July inclusive is considered the ideal time for a trip when the air and sea have already warmed up (23-25 degrees), but the real heat has not yet come. If you prefer warmer weather, pick out the second half of July or early August.
