Kameshki beach is located in the central part of Feodosia, in the area of the main waterfront promenade. It is covered with perfectly smooth pebbles of large and medium size, on which you can walk barefoot. This place is famous for the following features:
- a large number of deciduous trees growing within distance of 3-10 meters from the sea;
- favorable location - you can get here by foot in 5-30 minutes from any part of the city;
- shallow water - depth begins in 10-15 meters from the coast. Local vacationers let children go to the water without fear;
- cleanliness - daily cleaning is done here;
- large size - the length of the beach exceeds 1 km, and its width reaches 40 meters.
The local bottom is soft, but away from the coast there are rock formations. To prevent injury to the feet, slippers are recommended. In the summer, several rescue teams are working on the territory of Kameshki near the towers.
The beach is ideal for swimming and sunbathing. Here you can order a cold beer or a refreshing cocktail, enjoy seafood dishes, engage in water sports. Another advantage of Kameshki is its beautiful waterfront promenade with walking paths and convenient slopes.
Kameshki are popular among tourists and residents of Feodosia. In the warm season, thousands of people relax here daily. The peak of attendance is in July and August. If you want to relax in a calm atmosphere, come here in late spring or early September.
The main contingent of the beach is families from Russia and other CIS countries. At night, this place “captures” young people for whom parties and discos are held. Interesting fact: "Kameshki" is a young beach created in Soviet times. Half a century ago, pebbles with sharp corners were dumped here. But thanks to the sea waves, sharp stones smoothed out, and the wild coast turned into the main attraction of the city.
When is the best time to go?
Weather conditions in Crimea depend on the place where you will rest: while on the south coast it is relatively warm and humid, then in other places it can be cooler and drier. The period between late May and the first half of July inclusive is considered the ideal time for a trip when the air and sea have already warmed up (23-25 degrees), but the real heat has not yet come. If you prefer warmer weather, pick out the second half of July or early August.

Within walking distance from the beach is the Aivazovsky Picture Gallery. This art center has been operating for almost 150 years and contains more than 13 thousand exhibits. The best works of Aivazovsky, Lagorio, Bogaevsky, as well as other outstanding artists of the past and present are stored inside its walls. The gallery is open all days of the week, except Wednesdays. The last Tuesday of the month is a sanitary day.
