The resort rises on the edge of the Baa Atoll in the Maldives archipelago, where some of the richest coral reefs of the Indian Ocean are located. As well as a biosphere reserve, protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011. Amilla Fushi is an architecturally very attractive resort, similar to the French Riviera.

Beach description

Amilla Fushi Island is a private island with incredibly beautiful natural landscapes, which is also one of the best resorts in the Maldives. You can get to Baa Atoll by seaplane from Male International Airport, travel time is 30 minutes, and from Dharavandu Domestic Airport travel time is 15 minutes.

The island is surrounded by magnificent sugar-white sandy beaches, over which tall palm gardens with fluffy crowns leaned. The size of the island is only 900x290m.

The coast is surrounded by endless light turquoise, turning in bright blue to the horizon, the waters of the Indian Ocean. Like most beaches in the Maldives, Amilla Fushi is characterized by a shallow and safe approach with a pleasant sandy bottom. Since the island is adjacent to a coral reef, stones can still be found in a few meters from the shore, but crystal clear water allows you to view the seabed even without a special mask for snorkeling. Waves on Amilla Fushi are very rare, as is the sea temperature, which does not happen below the 27°C mark.

When is the best time to go?

Maldives – is an equatorial country with a tropical climate, where the weather is always warm at + 27-30ºС. But the islands have some seasonal features. From mid-April to the end of October it often rains here. The dry season lasts from November till April. At this time, the initially clear sea becomes completely transparent, and the sun illuminates in the sky 12 hours a day.

Important: A large amount of plankton is collected in October and November off the coast, which is why the ocean takes on a slightly unclear hue. On the other side – plankton illuminates the sea at night, creating an indescribable picture. At this time, coastal waters are filled with stingrays – fabulously fascinating creatures that are in no way inferior to the dolphins.

Infrastructure

Very often Amilla Fushi is compared not only with the French Riviera because of the similar architecture, but also with the beaches of Palm Beach in the United States because of the same developed and modern infrastructure. The houses were made not in the usual Maldives style with thatched roofs and bamboo walls, but made of snow-white panels with a large number of transparent elements, filling the houses with magnificent views of the endless ocean.

The villas of this resort are presented in several forms:

  • Oceanfront Villas;
  • Residences for large families and companies;
  • Houses at 12 meters high.

Each of these villas has its own large swimming pool, spacious bathrooms and magnificent rain showers.

The island has a marine biological center, a photo studio, a wine cellar, a cocktail bar and several restaurants with European, Japanese and Maldivian cuisine. Amilla Fushi also has a huge marina.

In addition, on the island you can go diving, snorkeling, kayaking and also practice other water sports. Lovers of an active lifestyle can play tennis or football, visit the gym or spa. Especially for children and adolescents, Amilla Fushi has a modern children's club, which organizes fun games, exciting quests and interactive contests.

Those who want to diversify their stay on the island, they can go to the neighboring beach on the island of Finolhu (Finolhu), using the free daily shuttle service.
