Fihalhohi Island is a small island (approximately 400x250 m) located south of the capital of the Maldives amidst lush tropical greenery, bordered by snow-white beaches. The home reef that hides in the turquoise waters is rich in animals. Silence and calmness are poured across the district.

Beach description
The beach of the island is conditionally divided into two parts. One of them is sandy, they always bathe and sunbathe here. Snorkelling enthusiasts also enter the water here. The opposite side has a rocky beach and bottom, so you will not find bathers here, but on the beach you can find shady romantic corners available for privacy.
The reef nearby is very rich in fish and turtles, here moray eels and stingrays with sharks swim. There are a lot of animals on the island: herons, lizards, flying foxes. Beginning from 5 in the morning, such a bird concert starts that some people manage to sleep only in ear plugs. Right from the pier you can watch dolphins and reef sharks chasing small fish.
The public area is a large covered lobby with sun loungers and tables. On the pier you can find comfortable chairs. On the beach there is a volleyball net, badminton, a gym works.
Between the water bungalows there is a gazebo, sitting in which you can watch how the sun goes down. In any corner of the island you can use a swing or a hammock. Sun loungers are numbered and assigned to a room, with them guests move to any place. Fins and masks are available for rent.
For beginners, it is recommended that you take a few snorkeling lessons, although it is advisable to wear a T-shirt, otherwise there is a risk of severe sunburn. Swimming far without flippers is not recommended, returning without adventure can be prevented by a strong water flow.
When is the best time to go?
Maldives – is an equatorial country with a tropical climate, where the weather is always warm at + 27-30ºС. But the islands have some seasonal features. From mid-April to the end of October it often rains here. The dry season lasts from November till April. At this time, the initially clear sea becomes completely transparent, and the sun illuminates in the sky 12 hours a day.
Important: A large amount of plankton is collected in October and November off the coast, which is why the ocean takes on a slightly unclear hue. On the other side – plankton illuminates the sea at night, creating an indescribable picture. At this time, coastal waters are filled with stingrays – fabulously fascinating creatures that are in no way inferior to the dolphins.

Products, souvenirs in the store are much more expensive than in Male. There are few entertainments. This is mainly diving, boat trips, spa treatments, a beach bar. There are no TVs in the rooms, English and German-language programs are available in the library in a specially designated area.
The menu in the restaurant changes every day, the food is delicious and varied. Children's menu is not provided. Various types of meat, fish and vegetables are being served. Very tasty pastries. There is no wide variety of fruits: papaya, apples, pineapples. A lot of spicy dishes. Beer or wine is served at lunch and dinner. Beer is not bad. Stronger alcohol is available in a bar. In the evenings there is live music, playing billiards, tennis.
