Filitheyo Island beach

Welcome to a breathtaking paradise island with rich green jungle foliage and sparkling white sand. The resort hotel Filitheyo is located on Faafu Atoll, one of the most pristine atolls in the Maldives, abounding with colourful marine life and bright corals. Here harmoniously intertwined luxury and simplicity, nature and civilization.

Beach description

Male International Airport is 120.7 km away. The seaplane ride takes 35 minutes and the traditional resort of Dhoni is a 15-minute drive away. Seaplane transfer is the only transport for guests of this island.

The resort Filitheyo combines rustic charm, modern amenities and efficient service. Holidays on this island are a popular choice among those looking for a tranquil and secluded resort, an island with plenty of unspoilt natural charm and excellent diving opportunities.

The resort has a sandy beach. It's a pleasure to walk barefoot on it. It feels like stepping on soft powdered sugar. The bottom near the shore is exactly the same: smooth, comfortable and without stones. There are no strong waves in the area of the villas and the shore, and if you want to catch a wave, just go to the reef on a catamaran or yacht.

When is the best time to go?

Maldives – is an equatorial country with a tropical climate, where the weather is always warm at + 27-30ºС. But the islands have some seasonal features. From mid-April to the end of October it often rains here. The dry season lasts from November till April. At this time, the initially clear sea becomes completely transparent, and the sun illuminates in the sky 12 hours a day.

Important: A large amount of plankton is collected in October and November off the coast, which is why the ocean takes on a slightly unclear hue. On the other side – plankton illuminates the sea at night, creating an indescribable picture. At this time, coastal waters are filled with stingrays – fabulously fascinating creatures that are in no way inferior to the dolphins.
