Beach description
You won't find this one crowded thanks to its large size and long shoreline. This is a sandy beach with shallow waters, and the most frequent guests here are families with children.
Couples will also like this place. First of all, it's not crowded here. Second, you can walk to the nearby islands of Diaplos and Matraki. If the weather is windy, you can partake in kiting or surfing, while snorkeling is a favorite activity during calm periods.
The golden shore with crystal clear water is protected from high winds by two small peninsulas. The water here is very clean and warm. You won't encounter seaweed or any underwater dwellers at the shore. Local taverns near the beach have a cozy atmosphere and tasty Greek cuisine.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
