Beach description
This beach can safely be called one of the elite ones on Corfu, and the visitors here really look like it.
The beach is located in the west of the island. You can get here from Corfu Airport by bus (will take just over an hour), rent a car or via a transfer. Families like to spend their vacations here. The descent is long and smooth, which means that children can easily swim near the shore while their parents sunbathe.
The water is very calm. Winds rarely reach the shore as the beach is surrounded and protected by scenic mountains. Taverns with skillfully made Greek cuisine meals are located nearby. The water resembles liquid glass with its clearness and flow. Behind the remains of the ship at the shore is a great place to snorkel. All the equipment can be rented on the beach.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
