Gyaliskari beach

Gialiskari is a beautiful and secluded beach on the west coast, where you can tirelessly admire the picturesque sea views. Gialiskari is separated 15 kilometers from the capital of Corfu, which can be reached by a regular bus or rented car, which is much more profitable than catching a taxi every time traveling around the neighborhood.

Beach description

This small sandy beach is located in a small bay surrounded by large mountains and old pines. Local bars and hotels take care of equipment, and you can use umbrellas, deck chairs, comfortable changing rooms, showers and toilets.

Local taverns offer fresh fish and shrimps as well as local wine. Isn't this heaven on Earth for those who want to escape from the urban jungles and enjoy some solitude? Crystal clear turquoise water and grainy golden sand will make for a good photo background. You can rent a canoe and take a tour along the shoreline to look at the untouched nature from a different angle.

When is the best time to go?

Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season  begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
