Ipsos beach
Ipsos is a Greek beach with Italian charm, which has long turned into a favorite vacation spot of Italians. Its name translates as "height". Perhaps the ancient Greeks meant the location of the village, as if hanging on the hills above the sea, which subsequently passed to the beach itself, becoming its name. People come here for the sake of unforgettable diving and fun beach-parties until dawn. For those who love noisy beach parties, this is one of the best places on the coast of Corfu.

The Ipsos Beach is located at the northeastern shore of the island, about 14 kilometers away from the capital. This heavenly place is located in the crescent-shaped bay surrounded by hills with olive and citrus groves. This location provides good weather and perfect conditions for vacations.
The sea at Ipsos is quite calm, without high waves. The shore is stretched, covered in sand and pebbles, but the sea bottom's surface is just sandy. The beach was marked with the Blue Flag multiple times for its clean shore and waters. The descent here is very smooth. This makes Ipsos one of the safest beaches on Korfu to bring young children to.
Ipsos will be enjoyed by and perfect for:

When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.

Around half a hundred dwelling rent options can be found in Ipsos village. There are no large hotels but even mini hotels offer maximal comfort. They are mostly located close to the beach, across the road from the coastline. There are no complicated ascents or descents here. The parking lot is free.

There is a supermarket inside the village, souvenir shops and a bank. Also there is a lot of beach pubs, youth loves Ipsos for this. From the capital of the island you can get here by bus or car (rented or taxi). The journey time will take half an hour or 15-20 minutes.
One of the main attractions of the beach is scenic views. From here you can admire a beautiful view of Mount Pontocrator. Boat trips on a boat also allow you to appreciate the beauty of the coastal line. You can also go to a neighboring village with an equally attractive Dassia beach.
