Astrakeri beach

You can easily get here by car - there's a free parking lot just before entering the beach. The place isn't full of attractions, and beach parties don't take place here.

Visitors come here for solitude, calmness and warm clean sea. The landscapes won't leave anyone disappointed - azure water, golden sand, small houses on the slopes of nearby hills and ... Albania on the opposite side! You'll get an even and saturated tan on this shore, and there's also an opportunity to take memorable bright sunny photos. A good photo shoot place is the pier with moored fisherman boats.

Visitors come here with children because of the smooth descent and warm water. No water attractions may be seen as a positive by some parents. Those who have children know how hard it is to keep them from riding various water attractions. You can finish your day on Astrakeri in one of the local taverns that serve fresh Corfu meals.

When is the best time to go?

Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season  begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
