Mirtiotissa beach

Mirtiotissa is located on the western shore of the island, away from the roads. You can get here by scooter or a rented car.

The sandy beach is small and very clean. The water is crystal clear, which makes it one of the best beaches in Europe. This heavenly place is surrounded by mountains with wild plants that protect Mirtiotissa from winds. The waters near the shore are therefore calm and clean.

You can't call this place popular, although it's frequently visited by nudists. Its solitude allows to fully enjoy unity with nature, relax and rest. Those who aren't afraid of anything should visit this beach. If you decide to make this your first nudist experience, don't worry: taking photos is strictly prohibited, and experienced nudists don't pay attention to new people. Everyone is fixated only on themselves. You'll figure it out soon enough - and your inner embarrassment will go away.

When is the best time to go?

Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season  begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
