Almyrida beach
The town is located on the shores of the Gulf of Suda, near Cape Drepanos. The main highway from Almyrida is several kilometers away. There is a bus from Chania (several buses per day). You can drive yourself by rented car.

Beach description
There are several beaches near the town, separated by thoughts. The beaches are mostly sandy, but there is a site with pebbles. The bottom is flat, safe, with a long small plot, which is suitable for recreation with children. In northern winds, waves are overblown. The beaches are well equipped, there is a rental of accessories and all infrastructure- showers, beach bars, taverns. Near the center of diving, where can teach diving with a scuba diving. Instructors are also available for windsurfing fans (boards can be rented here).
Almiride has hotels, car rental, boat rental, taverns and shops. On a rented boat you can visit the island of Karga, where many birds live, you can see the remains of the Phoenician fortress and German fortifications. Everything else (from museums to entertainment) can be found in the capital of Noma Chania. Among the nearest attractions there is the mention of Altera - an archaeological park on the site of the ancient Minoan city. Here there are ruins of different eras: ancient, byzantine, turkish dominion.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
