Souda beach

the beach is partially pebble, partly sandy. It is covered by rocks from the wind, so here are moved by vacationers from Plakias during windy weather. Here a small river flows into the sea, so there are many greenery around.

There is a standard tourist infrastructure on the beach: beach bar, a couple of tavernas, shower, hire sun loungers, umbrellas and other accessories. In the residential area nearby there are hotels and rooms are rented. The dirt road and the ground where you can park the vehicle or place a trailer is not too high above the beach.

The water is clean, deep and quiet. Many different fish and other marine creatures live in the sea. At the bottom there are stones, and rocks descend from the beach. All this attracts fans to swim and dive with a mask and a tube, to conduct underwater shooting. In addition, the nudists love to relax here, but now they are not as many as before, when the beach was considered wild.

When is the best time to go?

Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season  begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
