Beach description
Gallet Beach, water dark blue with green tide. Sometimes you can see stones. The place is perfectly protected by mountains from winds, and the bay and small islands from the driven waves. Therefore, rest always proceeds calmly. On the other hand, there is another tiny beach from the town. The town is completely devoid of any luxury - hotels, restaurants and even cars. But you can order a boat trip.
In Addition to swimming, walking through the gorges and mountains with their picturesque views are popular. From the sights above in the mountains are the ruins of the former Turkish fortress Kules. Nearby is Anopolis, the center of the local community, for which Lutro serves as a port. There are preserved the remains of the buildings of ancient times and the Middle Ages.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
