Alagoa beach

The beach is within the city, but from the houses and the promenade it is fenced in rows of dunes. Alagoa is a very wide and extended beach. The sand here is light and soft. Here, special wooden ramps are laid, which make it convenient to get to the recreation area by the ocean. Entry into the water is shallow, with a slow increase in depth. There often are wind and waves. When in season it is crowded there.

The beach has everything you need for a comfortable rest. Rescuers and doctors work here, ready to provide prompt assistance if necessary. Umbrellas and sunbeds can be rented, as well as boats. Showers and bathrooms also function rightly on the beach. Several restaurants and bars are located right there on the beach, the rest of the city infrastructure is within walking distance.

When is it better to go

The beach season in Portugal lasts from the beginning of June until September, when the air temperature reaches +30°C and the water temperature - +19°C. It should be remembered that the Atlantic Ocean does not warm up well and cools quickly, lovers of a more comfortable temperature can swim in natural stone pools, which are quite numerous on the coast.
