Beach description
The beach strip is about 260 meters long and covered with clean fine sand of bronze color. The descent is smooth and the sea bottom is sandy. The water is calm and quite warm thanks to the numerous rock formations on the shore and in the water that protect the beach from winds. At high tide hours, a significant part of the coast is hidden under water. There are paid umbrellas and deck chairs on the territory, but there are not enough of them for all holidaymakers. As the beach is often crowded during the peak season and there's no natural shade, you should bring an umbrella. There are showers and toilets. There are cafes, restaurants, bars. Sellers with food and beverage often show up at the beach. We can eat at the places upstairs. Dona Ana is crowded, especially on weekends. A lot of local people. Good places can be taken in the early morning, as the beach is filled with crowds of holidaymakers by midday. Experienced travelers advise to stay away from the coastal rocks to avoid being hit by rockfalls.
Dona Ana is suitable for swimming and a variety of water activities. You can go for a ride on a banana boat, water ski, jet ski, catamaran, go parasailing, snorkelling or scuba diving. There are rentals with diving equipment. It's possible to rent a boat or a yacht. There is a tennis court and a gym. Boat excursions to the Cape of Ponta de Piedade are also organized in Dona Ana.
