Picturesque high rocks surround Praia da Marinha Bay, with separate stone blocks in the water as well. This part of the Algarve coast is not the most convenient for swimming - the bottom is covered with stones and algae. Marinha Beach is not suitable for those who rest with babies. But here you can snorkel as well. Underwater life in the ocean off the coast of Praia da Marinha allows you to see different species of fish, sea stars and other ocean inhabitants.
When is it better to go
The beach season in Portugal lasts from the beginning of June until September, when the air temperature reaches +30°C and the water temperature - +19°C. It should be remembered that the Atlantic Ocean does not warm up well and cools quickly, lovers of a more comfortable temperature can swim in natural stone pools, which are quite numerous on the coast.

Praia da Marinha is a very popular place, but there is no conditions for usual rest here. There are no umbrellas and sun loungers on the beach that could be rented, as well as showers, changing cabins, and toilets. There is a small cafe with ocean view where you can have a snack at the entrance of the beach. There are rental boats and catamarans. Parking lot is large and free, it goes down to the beach (via a long wooden staircase).
The beach is located away from the settlements. Marinha is a natural attraction of Portugal, so if you are in this place of the coast, then you should pay maximum time to explore it.
