Pinhao beach
Pinhao is a semi-wild beach in a small bay surrounded by rocks within the city of Lagos, next to the Dona Ana Beach. A long wooden staircase leads to Pinhao on the one side and massive stone steps carved out in the rocks on the other.

Beach description
The Pinhao is divided into two parts, with a rock with a passage from one part to another rising in between. At high tide hours, the passage is flooded with water. The territory is covered with sand. The descent into water is smooth and the sea bottom is covered in sand and stones. There are no infrastructure facilities. It's recommended to bring mats, umbrellas, food and drinks with you. It's difficult and tiresome to get to Pinhao with small children, as there are no ramps for strollers, but children over 5 will enjoy the trip. The beach is not crowded and comfortable for lovers of privacy and quiet relaxation. The rocks secure the coast and sea from the noise of the city.
Pinhao is a perfect place for swimming, sunbathing, scuba diving, snorkeling and diving. The beach area has clean, transparent water and grottoes with abundant underwater fauna. Favourite entertainment of lovers of extreme is jumping into the water from the rocks, but it should be taken into account that there are no lifeguards on Pinhao.
