The cozy beach of Pescadores is stretching in front of the ancient city of Albufeira. Rocky ledge on the right side serves as a barrier separating it from another popular beach - Peneco.

Beach sand is fine and casts with a pleasant golden hue. However, you should tread it with caution - the coastal strip is full of shells. To avoid unpleasant incidents, it is better to walk in special shoes on Pescadores.

The waves on Pescadores sometimes reach a large size, so for inexperienced swimmers it is better to admire them from the pier. Tourists with children should be especially vigilant. It is also advisable to stay away from rocks due to the risk of rock collapse (this is signaled by warning signs).
Fishing, parasailing and jet skiing are popular sports activities on the beach. Young vacationers will surely be delighted with the water park, working in summer. Tourists looking for scenic views can climb to the Pau da Bandeira observation deck, where they can view Pescadores and the old town.
When is it better to go
The beach season in Portugal lasts from the beginning of June until September, when the air temperature reaches +30°C and the water temperature - +19°C. It should be remembered that the Atlantic Ocean does not warm up well and cools quickly, lovers of a more comfortable temperature can swim in natural stone pools, which are quite numerous on the coast.
