Angrinha beach

Angrinha is an atmospheric sandy beach in Portugal, well protected from city

Beach description

The main Angrinha advantage beach is its picturesque views. Against the background of the populous city silhouette you can see small boats running, and large sailing yachts rushing directly into the open sea. Two adjacent piers protect the beach from big waves and strong courses.

Angrinha is not filled with people to failure even in summer. Mostly local families and couples come here in search of serene beach leisure. Some bring fishing rods and fish right on the beach. But there are no sun loungers, no showers, no toilets on the beach.

Rocky ledge adjacents to shore on the south side, there is a small Forte de São João do Arade fortress. There is a small fishing village of Ferragudo in the north, which can be reached along the path. There are shops, small restaurants with authentic Portuguese cuisine and cozy cafes.

You can easily get to this resort town by car, because it is only 4 km from the city of Portimao. There is a large parking right behind the beach.
