Albandeira beach

Albandeira is a small beach surrounded by a high rocky shore. The stone ledges smoothly descend to the sea, in some places even forming peculiar "peaks" above the sand. Uniqueness of Albandeira is a large cliff dividing the beach into two parts. The water entry here is quite convenient, stones are found only along the edges, right at the rocks. There are no strong waves in the bay, as it is well protected from the wind by natural breakwaters - cliffs that run deeply into the sea.

A wooden ramp leads from the parking lot to the coast. Descent to the beach is also possible via small stairs. The infrastructure of Albaneira is quite modest, but it is not possible get the whole range of those services that are mandatory on more popular beaches. There is no rental equipment here, as well as beach rescuers. There is a small diner on the coast during the season.

The beach is rarely crowded, although it is small, due to its remoteness from large settlements.

When is it better to go

The beach season in Portugal lasts from the beginning of June until September, when the air temperature reaches +30°C and the water temperature - +19°C. It should be remembered that the Atlantic Ocean does not warm up well and cools quickly, lovers of a more comfortable temperature can swim in natural stone pools, which are quite numerous on the coast.
