Betina Cave beach

The beach is located in the very city of Dubrovnik, a little east of the old part famous for its roofs. The beach is literally twenty meters from the roadway, protected by strong and romantic vaults of the rocky coast. The beach itself is very small, literally thirty by thirty meters. It's mostly pebbly – from the stone grotto made by the water. There is also fine sand.

Beach description

The water near the beach is clean and almost blue in sunny weather. However, swimming here is difficult because of the sharp rocky bottom and changing depths. You can get there only by sea, because it has no paths or steps. Of course, there is also an option to go down using mountaineering equipment. And for taking a few beautiful photos, you can take car or even walk along the street Frana Supila. As soon as it is divided into two – Frana Supila and Vlaho Bukovac, you will need to follow the second one about 100 meters, and then turn right to the sea. You can see the beach from the rocks.

When is the best time to go?

Although the summer in Croatia is hot (the temperature can rise up to 30 degrees), but thanks to the sea breezes it is very pleasant - the best time for a beach holiday. If you want to see the sights of this country rich in historical events, it is better to choose tours in spring or autumn: firstly, the weather is comfortable, and secondly, there are not so many tourists in these times of the year, which positively affects prices.
