Divna beach

It's located in the southern part of Croatia about half a hundred kilometres northwest of Dubrovnik. The beach is lost on the northern coast in the middle of a long narrow peninsula of Pelješac. You can get here directly from Dubrovnik by car or by ferry from Ploče to Trpanj, after which you still have to walk about five kilometres along the shore or make a detour on the winding road.

Beach description

The beach is very small, about four hundred meters long. It's located approximately inside Divna Bay, fenced off from the tidal and strong waves by the island from the northwest. The bay is shallow and its bottom is entirely sandy, which is extremely rare on the Dalmatian coast. The beach itself consists of yellow and white sand with a predominant yellow hue; sand grains are medium and fine. Closer to the edges, you may find medium size pebbles.

When is the best time to go?

Although the summer in Croatia is hot (the temperature can rise up to 30 degrees), but thanks to the sea breezes it is very pleasant - the best time for a beach holiday. If you want to see the sights of this country rich in historical events, it is better to choose tours in spring or autumn: firstly, the weather is comfortable, and secondly, there are not so many tourists in these times of the year, which positively affects prices.
