Proizd beach
Proizd is a tiny island in the Adriatic Sea, located near the resort of Vela Luka. It is famous for its rocky beaches, dense forests and clean air, soaked with aromas of pine trees.

It also has the following advantages:
- low occupancy - here you can enjoy silence and peace even during the peak of the tourist season. There are almost no people in remote areas of the island. You can sunbathe naked there;
- impeccable purity - there are no wrappers, glass, sewage and other "gifts of civilization" on the shore. There are also no sea urchins or sharp objects;
- good waves and strong wind - here you can go surfing, sailing, extreme swimming;
- spectacular scenery - the seashore offers view of dense forest, powerful cliffs, rocky shores.
The surface of the beaches and the sea bottom are covered with stone slabs. For comfortable bathing and movement along the coast, it is recommended to wear slippers with a protective sole. Pay attention to: there is a sharp depth difference. Do not let your children go swimming unattended.
There is a small restaurant on Proizd Island. It is famous for its delicious food and quite high prices. There is a free toilet for tourists on its territory.
You can get here by taxi boat from Korčula Island. Approximate cost of the trip: 7 euros. You can also come to Proizd by rented motorboat.
When is the best time to go?
Although the summer in Croatia is hot (the temperature can rise up to 30 degrees), but thanks to the sea breezes it is very pleasant - the best time for a beach holiday. If you want to see the sights of this country rich in historical events, it is better to choose tours in spring or autumn: firstly, the weather is comfortable, and secondly, there are not so many tourists in these times of the year, which positively affects prices.
