Valkane beach
Valkane Beach is a small family beach located in Gortan Bay, on the outskirts of Pula. It is accessed by the famous Lungomare promenade, which allows easy access to the Valkane Beach, and to get to the coast, you will have to go down a wide staircase leading to the beach. Due to its proximity to the city and the clean and calm sea, Valkane Beach is very popular with visitors and is often overcrowded during the summer months.

Beach description
The surface of the Valkane beach area is covered with fine gravel sand and stones, the entrance to the sea is shallow, the bottom is stony. At the end of the beach there are rock formations, and along it stretches a pine forest. Beach - organized, with free entrance and landscaped area. The beach has a sun lounger and water bicycle rental service, and there is a snack bar nearby, as well as a parking lot where you can leave your car.
On the beach you can swim, sunbathe, practice diving and snorkeling. In the vicinity of Valkane Beach, there are 2 more popular beaches - Uvala Stoya and Gortanova Beach.
When is the best time to go?
Although the summer in Croatia is hot (the temperature can rise up to 30 degrees), but thanks to the sea breezes it is very pleasant - the best time for a beach holiday. If you want to see the sights of this country rich in historical events, it is better to choose tours in spring or autumn: firstly, the weather is comfortable, and secondly, there are not so many tourists in these times of the year, which positively affects prices.
