Hirizo beach
The beach is located to the south of the Izu Peninsula, one can reach it exclusively by ferry, there is simply no way for ground transportation. The beach is famous not only for clean and clear water but excellent landscapes. And the recreation area in not often used for swimming, then it is an ideal place for snorkeling, because the rocky terrain suggests a wide underwater world and amazing corals. The coastline is completely covered with stones, the beach is a good place to see when traveling around the island or to spend overnight in a tent.

There is no developed Infrastructure here, but local hotels provide all the necessary equipment for snorkeling or you can buy it in specialized stores in nearby cities. At the same time, you can rent a camera for spearfishing, which is organized during one of the many boat trips on the ferry around the peninsula. The sea is sometimes very cold here, and there are no cafes or places for a snack in the area of the beach. But such disadvantages do not frighten holidaymakers, who are always abundant on the island, and sometimes you have to wait in line for a ferry. The main hobbies here are scuba diving and fishing, after that you can have a barbecue on nearby beaches.
When is the best time to go?
If in the north of Japan, in Hokkaido, the weather in January-February is quite wintery, in the southern islands the temperature rarely drops below 20 degrees even in the cold season. In summer, the rainy season comes in Japan, when the humidity becomes almost one hundred percent, and the thermometer is at 30 to 40 degrees. Therefore, the best time to travel to Japan – is late spring or early autumn.
