Espinho beach

Espinho is a long line of beachеs stretching for 17 km and covered with fine sand. Entry into the water is smooth, the bottom is sandy, the water is clean.

Espinho is characterized by high waves that are so valuable for surfers. Not everyone risks to swim because water is cold even at heat. It is often windy. The beach area has:

• sport equipment rent points,
• deck chairs and umbrellas,
• stores,
• restaurants, bars and cafes.

The beach is not crowded due to its considerable length. The most guests go to the central beach part, near the city. People who prefer secluded rest relax in remote places. Espinho is very popular among the locals and tourists, with surfers prevailing.

The fleet of fishing boats is located on one beacj site. A small market is open in the same place, where local fishermen sell their take.

When is it better to go

The beach season in Portugal lasts from the beginning of June until September, when the air temperature reaches +30°C and the water temperature - +19°C. It should be remembered that the Atlantic Ocean does not warm up well and cools quickly, lovers of a more comfortable temperature can swim in natural stone pools, which are quite numerous on the coast.
