Beach description

Discover the enchanting coast of Benicasim, where a variety of expansive and intimate beaches await. Among the most beloved are:

  • Almadraba Beach: Boasting pristine, grainy sand, this beach is ideal for family outings with children. It is well-appointed with amenities such as changing rooms, toilets, showers, and inviting cafes. While a rental store offers umbrellas and sunbeds, water sports equipment is not available. However, rescue workers are on duty to ensure safety. The gentle slope into the water and the firm, sandy sea bottom make for a perfect beach experience.
  • Torreón Beach: Adjacent to the historic San Vicente Tower, this vibrant beach is a magnet for the younger crowd. The atmosphere is lively and bustling, with a plethora of entertaining events occurring regularly.
  • Heliopolis Beach: This extensive beach, adorned with a blend of sand, pebbles, and sharp shells, meanders along the coastline. Foot protection, such as slippers, is recommended.
  • El Terrers Beach: Known for its sandy shores and proximity to a sailing school, this beach beckons with its boats docked at the quaint pier, offering a picturesque setting.
  • Voramar Beach: Lined with modernist villas from the early 20th century, Voramar is renowned for its tranquility. Complete with toilets, showers, and a rental store for umbrellas, sunbeds, and sports equipment, it's a serene retreat on the coast.

Optimal Time for a Visit

The best time to visit Spain for a beach vacation largely depends on the type of experience you're seeking. However, the most ideal period is typically from June to September, when the weather is warm and sunny.

  • June to August: This is the peak season for beaches in Spain, with August being the busiest month. Expect higher temperatures, clear skies, and warm sea water, perfect for swimming and sunbathing. However, be prepared for crowded beaches and higher prices.
  • September: The weather remains warm, but the crowds start to thin out, making it a great time for those looking for a more relaxed atmosphere. The sea is still warm enough for comfortable swimming.
  • May and early June: These months can also be a good choice for a beach vacation. The temperatures are pleasant, though the sea might still be a bit cool. The advantage is fewer tourists and more affordable accommodation.

Ultimately, the best time for a beach vacation in Spain is when the weather suits your preferences and you can enjoy the coastal offerings in relative comfort, whether that means basking in the peak summer sun or enjoying the tranquility of the shoulder season.
